FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- How much is it?
It costs £5.00 a week, which covers room rent and other expenses. We're a not for profit group, so any extra money we make goes towards buying games for everyone to enjoy. - What types of games do you play?
Tabletop roleplaying, board and card games. Between us we have a wide range of games from different genres and themes. You'll see a few listed on the Games page. - How long do the games last?
Our roleplaying games run in cycles. Generally they're split into 'long games' (8 weeks) and 'short games' (4 weeks). - I have a game I'd like to run - is that OK?
Absolutely! We have a 'proposed games list' where people add whatever they'd like to offer to run and everyone can register their interest. We ask that everyone plays in at least one game with us before running a game. When it's time to choose what games are running next we go with the ones with the most interest and everyone votes on which one they'd like to play. We're very democratic and it works really well. - Can I bring food and drink?
Sure, snacks are welcome. - Is the venue suitable for people with disabilities?
The venue has wheelchair access and toilets. Two of the three rooms we use are on ground level. If you'd like more details please get in touch and we'll be happy to try and help with any specific questions or needs you may have. - Is there an age limit?
Occasionally some of the games we played can include adult themes, because of this we have a minimum age limit of 16 years old.
- Do you use any safety tools?
All of our roleplaying games use The X-Card tool. This allows anyone in the game to edit out any content anyone is uncomfortable with as the game is played. We also include content warnings in the listings of any games where caution is advised. Additional safety tools may also be used, and indicated in advance, as appropriate.
